Brought to you by the Six Plates family. Matthew Beason has been working in restaurants since 1997 in the Triangle. He has been involved with such notable establishments as Pop’s, Rue Cler, Nana’s, and now Six Plates. He has added an amazing chef and partner John Eisensmith to bring food to the forefront of what Mattie B’s and Six Plates bring to you.
For those of you looking for something a little different to enjoy post-Thanksgiving we will have a couple of nice options.
On Wednesday, December 4th, we are going to be having a Stella Cidre Night which will feature some great cider served two ways. We will offer the usual great, chilled pours off of our draft line as well as a hot version with cinnamon and spices. As this will be a Belgian cider we will also be serving up a delicious carbonnade, a Belgian beef and beer stew with a side of frites. And we have over a dozen Belgian beers by the bottle.
The following night, Thursday, December 5th, we will be having our Mother Earth tap takeover with several beers from this great brewery. And to celebrate the connection with our North Carolina brewers, Johnny is going to be cooking up some Carolina Burgers, complete with chili, slaw, mustard, and onions!
Mattie Mo here…at least for the rest of Movember; that’s not a typo – Mo-dudes don’t make typos. We’re calling it Mo For Your Mo. Read on.
Why Movember? It’s actually a national movement to raise money for prostate cancer research – kidding aside, it’s a topic about which I am passionate. Learn more about it here: www.movember.com. But I digress, something against the Mo-dude code of conduct.
While Mo stroking – not the diabolical kind, the pensive kind – I had a brilliant idea. I want to support Movember slightly differently. Mo-dudes do things differently. For the rest of the month of Mo (not No) vember we at Mattie B’s and Six Plates will be offering 10% off all food to anyone who wear a ‘stache of their own. Said Mo can be grown, attached, or penciled on just so long as you enjoy your evening here appropriately Mo’d. Everyone in your party should have a Mo…no one is too young to be Mo’d. We want you to know your Mo. We also hope to promote the idea of wearing or growing a Mo, proper Mo hygiene and grooming, and even some enhanced Mo decoration techniques for the forward-thinking Mo wearer. With more Mos around there will be more people asking, “What is your new Mo about?” The more that know your Mo, the more folks can (and should) support research not only for prostate and testicular cancer but the after effects of such a prominent disease. Thank you for supporting Mo For Your Mo by wearing your Mo to Six Plates or Mattie B’s Public House very soon.
A craft beer and cider bar with American standards such as burgers, pizza, wings, chips (with some amazing flavors and toppings) and fries. Check out the menu below.
